Lady Fatemah trust is actively supporting both the immediate humanitarian need as well as creating sustainable solutions for the long term reconstruction of livelihoods in four areas. 1. Distribution of food parcels - since 2018 over 85,000 individuals have been supported through the distribution of a months grocery supplies. These have largely focused on Hodeida and Sana’a. Each month a further 3,000 individuals are assisted in locations across the country. 2. The provision of PPE suits and medication at hospitals and isolation centers in Sana’a and Hodeida. 3. Distributions to widowed headed and orphan families as well as the families that are internally displaced. This work is ongoing with 62 families supported at present. Over 100 further orphaned children will be supported over the next few weeks. 4. Providing an independent source of income - these projects include a bakery in Sana’a that opened this month to provide bread to the neediest families that’s distributed daily. Over 5,000 individuals are assisted each week since opening and many more will benefit as the volumes pick up.
