During this dua, Imam Ali shows and tells us that Allah (SWT) is above us. This is a constant reminder we need to humble ourselves. We will die while Allah (SWT) is ever-living, and we will always need his assistance.
A concept that comes to mind is when we discuss this is pride; how can we be the servants of Allah (SWT) and have pride when we depend on him? How can we control our pride?
We will die, and Allah (SWT) is Ever-Living; who can have mercy on us except the Ever-Living?
