We are now reaching the middle point of Ramadan. Can you believe we are on our 14 days of fasting?!?
From the 13th Night until the 15th Night, we will recite Dua Mujeer. In this Dua, we call upon Allah (SWT) in all his beautiful names. One line that is constantly repeated in this dua is:
اجِرْنَا مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ يَا مُجِيرُ
meaning
Keep us safe from the everlasting fire, O Giver of Refuge.
We call upon Allah, saying that he is the only one who can save us from everlasting fire. Within this dua, we recognize over and over that He is the giver of everything in this world, and we are begging Him to give us safety from eternal fire.
We are beggars, and Allah (SWT) is Giver; who can have mercy on us, except the Giver?
