10th of Ramadan

10th of Ramadan

Allah (SWT) is the owner of everything in this world. Imam Ali (as) recognizes this by saying that he is the owner and he owns us.

When you buy a new pair of shoes, a purse, or a car you are very careful with them. Make sure they are in top shape, and if something happens to them, you make sure to clean them. In the same way, Allah (SWT) is the owner of us, and he is always taking care of us.

Often, when something goes wrong, we wonder why these bad things are happening to us. I read this quote that said, Allah (SWT) takes things away from us that aren’t good for us, so when something goes wrong, thank Allah (SWT) for he saved you from the thing that is not good for you. We have a master who watches out for us even when we think we know best.

Bibi Khadija is a perfect example of how she showed that Allah (SWT) owned everything. Without hesitation, she donated all of her wealth to the one who was the owner of everything. Let us promise Bibi Khadija on her wafat to strive to follow in her footsteps.

We are owned, and Allah is the Owner of everything; who can have mercy on us except the one who owns us?
